All Are Welcome In This Place
Welcome to the Gardner Memorial Church in Brechin.
The red sandstone building has stood for more than a century on a site that was once a market garden and it is not only a memorial to the Reverend Alexander Gardner, but also to his son, a brilliant young lawyer who, sadly, died by his own hand.
It is also a testament to the talent of the architect, Sir John James Burnet, whose work is still highly regarded.
Heritage
Our church is simple in style but is filled with an incredible amount of detail both in the materials and its construction, find out more about this captivating detail and its origins.
